Welcome to the official website of the Indiana Hearing Alliance (I.H.A.), hosted via the Wild Apricot platform. By accessing or using our website, member portals, and online services, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms of Use, as well as our Privacy Policy and Membership Refund and Cancellation Policy.

If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our website.

1. Acceptance of Terms and Corporate Purpose

The Indiana Hearing Alliance is a non-profit professional association dedicated to coordinating, promoting, and advancing the programs of those actively engaged in the fitting and dispensing of hearing instruments. This website is provided to support our corporate purpose, manage member databases, facilitate professional networking, and coordinate continuing education.

The I.H.A. reserves the right to modify or update these Terms of Use at any time without prior notice. Your continued use of the site following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

2. User Accounts and Member Portal Security

To access certain features of this website, including member directories and renewal portals, you may be required to register a user account through Wild Apricot.

  • Account Responsibility: You are entirely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials (username and password) and for any and all activities that occur under your account.

  • Accurate Information: You agree to provide true, accurate, and current professional information (such as licensing details and current contact information) as required for membership eligibility evaluation.

  • Unauthorized Use: You must immediately notify the I.H.A. Secretary or administrative team of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security.

3. Intellectual Property and Use of Corporate Name/Letterhead

All content on this website—including text, graphics, logos, button icons, images, and digital downloads—is the property of the Indiana Hearing Alliance or its content providers and is protected by United States copyright and trademark laws.

  • Corporate Branding: In strict accordance with Standing Rule 1 of our bylaws, no member, individual, or entity may use the official corporate name, acronym ("I.H.A."), logo, or letterhead for any communication or claim to represent the alliance in an official capacity without prior, explicit written authorization from the President or a majority of the Board of Directors.

  • Limited License: You are granted a limited, revocable, and non-exclusive license to access and make personal, professional use of this website. You may not download (other than page caching), modify, distribute, or reuse any portion of the site’s content without the express written consent of the I.H.A.

4. Acceptable Conduct and Code of Ethics

As a condition of your use of this website and its interactive member portals, you agree to adhere to standard professional conduct. Furthermore, all active members using this platform are strictly bound by Article XII of the I.H.A. By-Laws regarding ethical practices.

You explicitly agree not to use this website to:

  • Post, transmit, or distribute any content that is defamatory, unlawful, harassing, profane, or otherwise objectionable.

  • Infringe upon the privacy rights of other members or access confidential records without explicit, written authorization from the Board of Directors (Article XI, Section 2).

  • Harvest, scrape, or systematically collect member contact information from the annual roster or directory for unauthorized commercial solicitation, spamming, or mass marketing campaigns.

  • Misrepresent your membership status, license standing under the State of Indiana Hearing Aid Dealers Registration Act, or International Hearing Society (I.H.S.) certification details.

Violations of professional conduct on our platform may result in immediate suspension or termination of website access, and may be escalated to the I.H.A. Grievance Committee for disciplinary action or formal membership expulsion.

5. Third-Party Links and Integrated Platforms

Our website operates utilizing the Wild Apricot portal and integrates external third-party tools, including secure payment processing systems (e.g., Personify) to handle membership dues and conference registrations.

  • The I.H.A. does not control, endorse, or assume responsibility for the technical functionality, privacy practices, or content of these third-party operators.

  • Any financial transactions executed through the site are subject to the security policies and terms of our integrated payment gateway providers.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties and Limitation of Liability

This website and all information, content, materials, and services included on or otherwise made available to you through this site are provided by the I.H.A. on an "as is" and "as available" basis, unless otherwise specified in writing.

The I.H.A. makes no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, as to the operation of this site or the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of the information, content, or materials included. To the full extent permissible by applicable state and federal law, the I.H.A. disclaims all warranties, express or implied.
